Work has started setting-up temporary classrooms within the grounds of Milford Junior School in Yeovil. The school in Glenthorne Avenue closed in September following an inspection that found the building was unsafe. Since then, pupils have been taught at Kingfisher Primary, Bucklers Mead and Huish Primary schools. The temporary classrooms are due to be ready to occupy by January.
People who live in Park Homes in Somerset have been in London protesting about a 40-year-old law which means that when they sell their homes, they have to give 10% of the sale price to the site owner. As part of the day of action, protesters delivered a petition to Downing Street.
