80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day
The Yeovil and District Branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a Service of Reflection and Commemoration to mark the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), which marked the end of hostilities in Europe during World War 2.
The event will start at 1630 hrs (4.30 pm) and conclude around 1730 hrs (5.30 pm) in The Borough around the area of the War Memorial.
It is hoped that these timings will then allow any present to take a short refreshment and comfort break before attending the further event in St John's Churchyard that is scheduled to start at 1800 hrs (6 pm)
