A group of volunteers in Somerset is helping to teach children how to stay safe when out walking alone. 'Citizens Somerset' which works with the Police and Somerset Council to help reduce knife crime, are advising younger people on what to do if they encounter aggressive behaviour in a public space.
Taunton Town Football Club has been issued with a winding-up petition. Public records show the Inland Revenue issued the petition to the National League South club on Wednesday. It’s not known how much Taunton Town owes or when a court hearing will be held.
Waste collection days in some parts of South Somerset will change from February 12th. Somerset Waste Partnership says letters will be sent out next week advising affected households of the new date when their waste will be collected. SWP says the changes are aimed at making collections more efficient and reducing mileage and carbon emissions.
