Yeovil bus station could be transformed into a new 'transport hub' as part of the regeneration of Glovers Walk. If it happens, Yeovil bus station would have a new interchange for bus and coach services, electric vehicle charging points, new waiting areas, bike e-scooter storage areas, and taxi bays.

NFU Mutual says complacency kills when it comes to dog owners letting pets off the lead near livestock. New data on livestock attacks published by the insurer shows they paid 2 point four million pounds in claims for sheep worrying incidents in 2023.

The charity Help for Heroes is expanding its support for military veterans in Somerset. It's launching two new hubs – one in Yeovil - where serving and retired military people can access help.

A local man has been jailed for 18 weeks for driving while disqualified. Matthew Goodchild, aged 27, from Kingsbury Episcopi, was appearing before local magistrates, charged with driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without third-party insurance. He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs, and a £154 surcharge.

The idea of recording local history in a village album is making a return in Street. The tradition, dating back 200 years, will see drawings, photographs, local writings and items of memorabilia placed in an album for safekeeping, for all time. Students at Strode College are putting the album together.
