A Chard food bank says it’s in desperate need of donations as it continues to tackle the cost of living crisis. Lord’s Larder has handed out a thousand bags of food to help residents and was originally developed by Chard Churches Together, although it is now a charity entirely run by volunteers.
Even more of the Leonardo factory in Yeovil could be powered by renewable energy if a solar farm application is approved. Conrad Energy Developments have applied to construct the technology south of Camp Road in West Coker. It’s thought the solar power could provide electricity to the Leonardo site for the next 40 years.
