    The A358 between Ilminster and the M5 is set for nearly two weeks of night closures for repairs. The organisers of a concert by the seventies singing trio The Three Degrees in Yeovil later this week say they’ll give all profits from the show to Ukraine Disasters and Emergency Appeal. Somerset County Council is reporting that Covid cases are on the increase again in Somerset. Yeovil Town is taking part in an initiative to get fans back to Huish Park...and more.

    The A358 between Ilminster and the M5 is set for nearly two weeks of night closures for repairs. The road will be shut from the Ilminster Road junction to the Langport Road junction from this coming Wednesday for thirteen nights until April 1st between 6.30 pm and 7 am the following day, but it will be open outside of these hours and at weekends. A diversion will be in place during the hours of closure.

Also appearing with the Three Degrees at the Westland Entertainment venue this Thursday will be Yeovilton Military Wives Choir. 

    Somerset County Council is reporting that Covid cases are on the increase again in Somerset with hospitals being put under increased pressure. The County Council is advising people who feel unwell to take a PCR test and to stay at home if they have symptoms.

    Yeovil Town is taking part in an initiative to get fans back to Huish Park. The National Lottery is funding 'The National Lottery Football Weekends’ which will see over 100,000 tickets available across all participating clubs on a ‘buy one get one free’ basis for certain matches. 

    Yeovil Hospital is one of only three NHS Trust hospitals in England to be given an NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award.  It’s recognition of the training and support given to international nurses and midwives working at Yeovil Hospital.

    Car parking charges at council-run car parks in Sherborne are to rise from next month. Charges will go up to £6 for 10 hours parking and to £3.50 for four hours parking from April 1st.
