The Council announced last month that it would be ending the 3-tier school system in the Crewkerne and Ilminster area and as part of the changes, Misterton First School will shut. Parent, Taylor Larcombe, says they’re taking legal action because they believe the way in which the closure decision was made was wrong.

The Cancer Lead for Somerset, Dr Angela Beattie is urging people to not assume their symptoms could be coronavirus. She says even though doctors are extra busy at the moment, people with concerns should go to see their GP.
Police have released details of an incident in which a man was headbutted in an unprovoked attack in Yeovil. It happened in Sherborne Road on Friday, March 26th at around 8 pm. Police say the attacker demanded money but left the scene empty-handed. Police have reviewed CCTV from around the area but would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
