Dozens of events are taking place across South Somerset today to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. In Yeovil, there’s an event on the Green in front of St John’s Church in the town centre this evening featuring performances by the Octagon Community Choir and HMS Heron Band. In Yeovil, there’s an event on the Green in front of St John’s Church in the town centre this evening featuring performances by the Octagon Community Choir and HMS Heron Band. In Ilminster, a service of celebration is being held in The Minster to give thanks to Her Majesty at 7 pm.
