A drugs busting operation in the South West has resulted in two hundred arrests and the seizure of drugs with a value of £404,000. Operation Scorpion, involving all police forces in the region launched at the start of the month with the aim of disrupting the supply of drugs in local areas. Sixty-four people have so far been arrested by Avon and Somerset police as part of Operation Scorpion.

That’s according to South Somerset Citizens Advice who say the situation has become so serious that some carers are no longer able to afford to fill up their cars for visiting clients.
