Magistrates in Yeovil were told that Zak Burge of Orchard Vale in Ilminster had been smoking cannabis before the car he was driving mounted a verge and ended up in a hedge. A man who became violent towards staff at Hollywood Bowl in Yeovil has been jailed for 14 weeks. Magistrates in Yeovil were told that Jason Roberts went to the Hollywood Bowl with a woman who was banned from the premises. When told she had to leave, he launched a barrage of verbal abuse and threatened to hit a member of staff with a beer bottle. Roberts, who was subject to a suspended sentence for assaulting two emergency workers, was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £154 on his release from jail.
