Three men have been arrested on suspicion of theft after farm vehicles, plant equipment and a horse were stolen from Tintinhull near Yeovil. The items were later recovered by police from a site in Martock following a tip-off from a member of the public through the Farm Watch network. The men have since been released pending further investigation.
Tributes have been paid to a former Leader of South Somerset District Council who has died following a long illness. Tim Carroll was the Leader of South Somerset District Council between 2001 and 2004 and again from 2006 to 2011.
