A Chard woman is demanding urgent action to stop her home from flooding. Charlotte Pike's house flooded in June and her garden has flooded twice more since. Local Mayor, Jason Baker told them that a lot of work was being done to keep the town safe from flooding.

It’s been announced that the name of the new council for Somerset will be Somerset Council. Ash Church of England Primary School near Martock has been rated as ‘requiring improvement’ following an inspection by Ofsted. Inspectors found the school required improvement in every category including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, leadership and management and early years provision.
