A potential takeover of Yeovil Town Football Club has collapsed amid on-going uncertainty about the club’s future. Matt Uggla of SU Glovers Ltd who it was expected would buy the Club has announced that talks with owner Scott Priestnall have ended without agreement. News of Mr Uggla’s withdrawal comes just days after Yeovil Town failed to pay the wages of its staff and players; a situation the Club says has now been resolved.

Councillor Kendall, who was formally installed as the new Mayor of Yeovil at the annual meeting of Town Council last night, says upgrading the town centre is likely to continue for a further 12 to 15 months but after that he believes Yeovil will thrive.
