The club says it has a recording of the chanting, which is the subject of an internal investigation. The Football Association has been informed of the matter. In a statement, Yeovil Town says it stands firm against all forms of discrimination.

A Somerton woman has appeared in court charged with threatening and abusive behaviour. Paris Ridley-Brown, of Russett Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words in Somerton in January of this year. She was made the subject of a community order and told to pay compensation of £100 by magistrates in Yeovil.

Developers, Gladman Developments, want to use land off Oaklands Avenue and Avishayes Road for the scheme. The consultation is open until the end of September. It’s thought the company will submit a formal planning application to South Somerset District Council before the end of the year.
A birds of prey centre near Chard has launched a Just Giving appeal to feed the 100 animals that it looks after. Sharan Cox, the owner of Sher-an-day, says they've been hit hard by the rising cost of food and avian flu restrictions and that they need to raise £3,000 to provide food for the animals through the winter.
