A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Yeovil that happened last month. Land in Yeovil with permission to build 24 flats has been put up for sale. Local accountancy firm, Old Mill, has acquired the Ilminster-based financial outsourcing firm, Brook Financial. People in Ilminster are being invited to submit comments on the town's neighbourhood plan, which has now entered its final stages of adoption...and more.

A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Yeovil that happened last month. A BMW he was travelling in overturned on the Western Relief Road in the early hours of Friday, May 20th. Another man suffered minor injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses and those with dash cam footage to contact the non-emergency number 101.

Land in Yeovil with permission to build 24 flats has been put up for sale. South Somerset District Council gave the green light to build two blocks of twelve flats on the land between Victoria Road, Cromwell Road and Lyde Road in 2009 but as yet no work has been undertaken at the site.

Local accountancy firm, Old Mill, has acquired the Ilminster-based financial outsourcing firm, Brook Financial. Brook Financial was launched by husband-and-wife team Alison and Kevin Smith in 2006 and provides a variety of outsourced financial services. Old Mill says the purchase supports its target of doubling the size of the business by 2026.

People in Ilminster are being invited to submit comments on the town's neighbourhood plan, which has now entered its final stages of adoption. The plan, which was published in June last year, outlines the future development, regeneration, and conservation within Ilminster up to 2036. Anyone wishing to make a comment can view the plan at Ilminster Library, and at the offices of Ilminster Town Council.

A Somerset woman has started a project aimed at helping older people get out and socialise more. ‘Chat-e-Cycle’ see’s people chatting with friends, riding side-by-side on an electric tandem bicycle. Project manager, Kate Mattick, says they’re delighted to have raised enough financial backing through a crowd funding appeal to buy their first electric tandem.

Yeovil Town has announced that Lawson D’Ath and goalkeeper Max Evans have extended their contracts with the Club to the end of the 2022/23 season. Meanwhile, off the field, businessman and lifelong Glover’s supporter, Stuart Robins, has joined Yeovil Town as a director and shareholder.
