Police in Yeovil are investigating an incident in which a man was punched in the face. It happened outside the man’s home in Preston Road after he challenged three men who he believed were acting suspiciously. Police have issued CCTV footage of the incident that happened on Thursday, May 13th, between 9.30 and 10 pm at night. A Chard motorist has been fined £450 for speeding. Appearing before local magistrates, Dominic Griffiths of Victoria Avenue, Chard, also had six penalty points put on his licence after being caught exceeding the speed limit on the A380 at Newton Abbot.
A Yeovil woman has appeared in court charged with assault. Jasmine Price, 28, of Southway Drive, pleaded guilty to attacking three people in the Taunton area. Price was made the subject of a community order and ordered to pay compensation of £125.
