An appeal has been launched to help find three men who attacked a man in Yeovil in what's believed to be a case of mistaken identity. The man was walking in Eastland Road on the evening of the 3rd of October when he was confronted by the men. He suffered several knife wounds in the incident. Police say he was mistaken for someone else and when his attackers realized he was not who they thought he was they ran away. Police are keen to trace the three men and also to identify the real intended target, a man believed to be called ‘Jay’. Police are investigating a break-in at Yeovil Town’s ground. CCTV footage has identified two men acting suspiciously within Huish Park in the early hours of Wednesday morning at around 2.40 am. The Club have not said if any items were stolen or how much damage was caused. Images of the two men can be viewed on YTFC’s page on X. Meanwhile, former Captain, Josh Staunton has left Yeovil by mutual consent. The Club says Josh, who made over 100 appearances for the Green and Whites, leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Huish Park.
