A decision is expected today on whether Yeovil Town’s game at Weymouth yesterday, which was abandoned due to a medical emergency, is to be replayed. The match, with Weymouth leading 1-0, was stopped on 75 minutes when a Yeovil supporter fell seriously ill. Both teams left the pitch while medical treatment was provided before an air ambulance landed on the pitch. The name of the Yeovil supporter is not known nor is his condition in hospital.

Crewkerne Community Kitchen wants to buy the former Natwest Bank building in the town and turn it into a new community space. The charity has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help pay the initial costs of taking ownership of the three-storey building on Market Street.

A nursery owner in Somerton says expanding free childcare to working parents of two-year-olds will significantly impact nurseries that are already struggling to stay open. The change means the parents of younger children will be offered 15 hours a week of subsidised child care at a nursery. But Katryn Bennett, who owns Acorn Nursery, says it's already hard to break even on the money they get for subsidised places for 3-and-4-year-olds, and has launched a petition against the change.

The Crossways Inn in West Huntspill has been named Somerset's best pub for the sixth time. The award was decided by judges from the Campaign for Real Ale who say the pub has a great range of ales and provides good customer service.
