Yeovil Town FC have sent a strongly worded letter to the Football Association asking them to drop plans to end FA Cup replays. They say replayed FA Cup fixtures provide a vital source of income, especially to clubs in the non-leagues like Yeovil, and criticise the FA for not consulting clubs on the plan. Yeovil Town are asking their supporters to also write to the FA on the issue.
Voters in Somerset have been listing their priorities ahead of next week's poll to elect a new police and crime commissioner for Avon and Somerset. A man has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary in Chard. Among the items stolen in the break-ins was a Black BMW that was later found in Exeter. Police say the man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
